Employability Skills Lab

Specialized programming for students with learning differences

In-house program designed to provide basic employability, vocational and life skills training.

The Employability Skills Lab is a job training program that provides focused and intensive instruction for students exhibiting a need to further develop pre-vocational skills.  The goal of the program is for students to develop independence in the workplace while demonstrating basic employability, vocational, and life skills.  Within authentic work settings, the skills lab provides individualized instruction for students requiring support when learning specific job skills.  The program focuses on following directions, staying on task, flexibility within the workplace, time management, and accuracy.  Students will have the opportunity to job train in the community while enrolled in the program.

Areas of concentration include office, hospitality, food service, and retail skills.
