Earlier this month, we presented four business partners with the first-ever Polaris Outstanding Advisory Council Member Award during our biennial fall advisory council dinner. This new award honors outstanding individuals who go above and beyond to support our programs and provide unique opportunities for our students.
We currently partner with over 300 active advisory council members (business owners, graduates, higher education partners and community organizations) to ensure our career-technical programs stay relevant and meet or exceed employer expectations.
The following council members were honored during the dinner ceremony (pictured left to right):
- Tracey Workman, Team Lead in the Cardiovascular Arrhythmia Lab at the Cleveland Clinic - a member of the adult education Cardiographic Technician program advisory council.
- Jim Farren, Senior Manager, Workforce Initiatives for CVS/Health – a member of the special admissions program advisory council.
- Wade Clark, Co-Founder and Media Director of Cleveland Video Company - a member of the satellite Broadcasting and Video Production program (located at Berea-Midpark High School) advisory council.
- Dr. Peyman Vaziri, M.Sc., D.M.D., M.S.D., Parkway Endodontics - a member of the high school Dental Assisting program advisory council.
Each award recipient was nominated by a Polaris teacher or staff member who highlighted their advisory council activities and accomplishments.
Congratulations to our award winners! Thank you for your dedication and service to our programs and students!
